Who Will Benefit

Fares and Ticketing  Courses  have been designed for travel  consultants
who work in travel agencies whose main task is to sell  international  and
domestic air transportation on behalf of airlines either IATA or non-IATA
members  .

The training courses in Payam Training Institute will also benefit the following people :

It is recommended that students have completed their high school also a good understanding of written English, world  geography and  basic  mathematics is essential for the course.

To qualify for the PAYAM  courses Certificate,  students must  achieve  at least 70% in each paper .

Those who fail to achieve the aforesaid minimum percentage but their score is between 50%  and 69% must attend another examination  session. With a result  below  50%  in  each paper, the failed student must attend the course once more .

Basic Passenger Fares & Ticketing Course:

The participants will learn how to counsel clients with the up-to-date and

On travel formalities such as  governments' requirements  on  passport
      visa, health,  tax,  customs and  currency
On  travel arrangements and reservations for international and domestic
       journeys
On world geography and  planning  itineraries  by air
On time differences, calculation of  flight time and journey time
On calculation of one way, round trip and circle trip fares
On free baggage allowance
On basic sales techniques
On conditions of establishment of a travel agency in I. R. of  Iran
On qualifications of a general manager and a technical manager in travel
     agency
On a glance to pricing unit
And many other interesting items .

To obtain the PAYAM Certificate in basic fares and ticketing participants must pass a written examination at the end of the training period. The examination consists of two papers as follows :

Paper 1 :

General travel knowledge, air fares and ticketing .

Paper 2 :

General international and domestic rules and circulars

Intermediate Passenger Fares & Ticketing Course:

It is designed for students who already hold PAYAM Basic Fares and Ticketing Certificate .

However Payam Training Institute registers students who have successfully attended  the Basic  Fares and  Ticketing  course held in another authorized training centers .

The participants will learn up-to-date and reliable information

On determining add-ons, stopovers
On journeys in different classes
On international ticketing procedures and instructions
On taxes and currencies
On changes to tickets
On pricing unit concept
On Warsaw Convention limitation on liability terms and codes used in the
travel industry And many other items .

To obtain the PAYAM Certificate in Intermediate Fares and Ticketing
participants must pass a written examination at the end of the  training
period.  The examination consists of two papers as follows :

Paper 1 :

Technical travel knowledge, air fares and ticketing .

Paper 2 :

 General rules and Warsaw Convention .

Advanced  Passenger Fares & Ticketing Course:

It is designed  for students  who already  hold  PAYAM  Intermediate Fares and Ticketing Certificate. However PAYAM Training  Institute registers students who  have  successfully  attended   the Intermediate Fares and Ticketing course held in another authorized training centers .
 

The participants will learn up-to-date and reliable information :

On tariff coordination activities
On bilateral agreements
On operation of a travel agency
On services offered by a travel agency
On sales techniques, customer contact and practical experience
On passengers requiring special handling
On Miscellaneous Charges Order (MCO) completion and acceptance
On Prepaid Ticket Advice (PTA)
On credit cards and commissions
On Chicago Convention
On marketing strategy and marketing in the travel agency

To obtain the PAYAM Certificate in Advanced Fares  and  Ticketing participants must pass a written examination at the end of the training period.The examination consist of two papers as follows :

Paper 1 :

Professional Travel Knowledge, Air Fares and Ticketing .

Paers 2 :

General Rules and Chicago Convention .
